WINDSOR CASTLE PARK LIVE FEED

Located right in downtown Smithfield, this gorgeous riverside park features 4+ miles of a woodland trail system, picnic areas, a dog park, a state-of-the-art kayak and canoe launch, a Childrens Natural Playscape playground, fishing pier, scenic overlooks and the Windsor Castle Historic Site. Windsor Castle Park is listed on the Virginia Birding and Wildlife Trail.

The park and manor house are available to rent for your special occasion or meeting.

Seasonal Outfitters are also available.

 

WINDSOR CASTLE MANOR HOUSE, OUTBUILDINGS GROUNDS TOUR

Windsor Castle Farm was originally part of a 1,450 acre parcel patented in 1637 by Arthur Smith, an ancestor to the Town's founder, Arthur Smith IV. Today's Windsor Castle Park (208 acres) is anchored by the circa 1725 manor house and its eleven outbuildings.

In August of 2000, Windsor Castle Park was entered in the Virginia Landmarks Register and the National Register of Historic Places of the National Park Service, United States Department of the Interior.

SELF-GUIDED TOURS OF THE OUTBUILDINGS:

Sellf-guided tours of the smokehouse, farm manager's Office, slave quarters, kitchen and laundry are now available.

May 1- August 31, Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. -2 p.m.
