The 1750 Isle of Wight Courthouse volunteers will be commemorating Independence Day by holding a public reading of the Declaration of Independence in period attire. The reading will begin at 6:30 p.m. and will last approximately 10 minutes-- plenty of time for visitors to make it to the concert down the street!

 

The historic courthouse building will be open from 11:00 a.m. to 7 p.m. for visitors. No tickets or admission required, though donations for preservation of the site are always appreciated!
