Constitution Week Ringing of the Bells

Beginning at 4 p.m. Sept. 17, there will be a mayoral proclamation and a reading of the Preamble to the Constitution at the 1750 Courthouse which will conclude with a ringing of the bells.

Celebrate Constitution Week with the Colonel William Allen Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution! Constitution Week is an American observance to commemorate the 1787 adoption of the United States Constitution. Constitution Week commemorates the formation and signing on September 17, 1787, of the United States Constitution and recognize all who, by coming of age or by naturalization, have become citizens.
