Court Day is a re-enactment of an actual court case that occurred in 18th Century Isle of Wight County performed by volunteers from the 1750 Isle of Wight Courthouse and the Smithfield Little Theatre. The performance titled, "Trial by Jury" was written by Doris Rae Gwaltney and is set in the year 1773. The case involves a land dispute between two neighbors.
The live performances will be directed by Julian Bouchard and tickets are available online a tthe 1750 Isle of Wight Courthouse.
Show Times: 10 am, 11 am, 12 noon, 2 pm and 3 pm.
Tickets: $5 and children 6 and under are free.
