CONTEST PERIOD:

Three montly prizes will be awarded for entries posted that month prior on May 1, June 1 and June 30, 2021.

The grand prize drawing will be held on June 30, 2021. 

PRIZES: Three $50 Gift Certificates to local restaurants awarded monthly: April 30: $50 Gift Certificate to Captain Chuck-a-Muck's, May 31: $50 Gift Certificate to Dock of the Bay II, June 30: $50 Gift Certificate to Fatboy's Grill and Steamshack. Prizes can be mailed or picked up at the Visitor Center.

Grand Prize is a choice of a fully-cooked Smithfield® Ham ($70 - $90 value) OR an $80 gift certificate to the Smithfield Ice Cream Parlor.

WINNERS: Winners will be contacted via Instagram Direct Message. The winning entrants have three days from the date of notification to claim their prizes by responding to the Instagram message or via email to cchapman@isleofwightus.net. Winners will be announced on Smithfield Tourism’s social media sites, website, blog, news release, etc. Entry indicates participants agree to have their name and winning image posted on Instagram and used for promotional purposes by Smithfield Tourism. 

JUDGING: Monthly winners will be determined by a random drawing of all eligible entries for that month. The Grand Prize winner will be determined by a random drawing of ALL ENTRIES from April, May and June of 2021, which use the hashtag #SmithfieldLOVE. Any entry posted outside of the contest period will be disqualified.

HOW TO ENTER: Photos submitted must be:

(1) taken at the LOVEwork at 228 Main St. in Smithfield,

(2) submitted via a post on Instagram using the hashtag #SmithfieldLOVE,

(3) entrant must “follow” the @smithfieldvirginia Instagram page. 

ELIGIBILITY: Contest is open to all, professional and amateur photographers, regardless of gender or ethnicity. There is no age limit to enter the contest. Contest is not open to employees of Smithfield Tourism or their families.

Cellphone images are acceptable. Entries can be digitally manipulated, “photo-shopped,” or cropped as the photographer chooses. Entries must be original and not have previously been published in any promotional material, website, etc. Prints and videos will NOT be accepted.

Limit: One entry per person, per month will be eligible for the drawings. 

This contest is in no way endorsed or sponsored by or associated with Instagram. By entering this contest, posting an image on Instagram using #SmithfieldLOVE and following our page (@smithfieldvirginia), you agree to the terms and conditions and acknowledge that you have the permission to use images of all individuals featured in your posted image.

LOVEwork must not be altered or damaged for photos. 

The Tourism Department reserves the right to cancel or alter the contest and contest prizes at any time due to participation and other factors.
