Sundays at Four Presents "Music for Harp & Flute"

Music for Harp & Flute: Hye-Yun Chung Bennett, Harp and Wayne Hedrick, Flute 

Thirteen years ago, when Sundays at Four became a program of the Isle of Wight Arts League, a harp and flute duo was invited to perform. Hye-Yun Chung Bennett and Wayne Hedrick performed a recital of music that covered several hundred years. This lovely combination of flute and harp was right at home in the 1832 historic church in Smithfield.  

Hye-Yun began her musical career on piano at the age of four. She has been performing and teaching around the world for over 40 years. Hye-Yun still maintains a studio in the DC area where she teaches both piano and harp. 

Wayne Hedrick was the principal flutist for the USAF Heritage of America Band for over 20 years. Mr. Hedrick has an extensive discography of 70+ recorded albums. He has performed with both military and civilian ensembles such as the National Chamber Players, and our own Virginia Symphony.
