September 17-23, 2024. Celebrate Constitution Week with the Colonel William Allen Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution and the 1750 Isle of Wight Courthouse.

Gather at the 1750 Isle of Wight Courthouse at 130 Main Street for a reading of the Proclamation and the Preamble to the Constitution. Daughters of the American Revolution will be giving out flags.

Constitution Week is an American observance to commemorate the 1787 adoption of the United States Constitution. Constitution Week commemorates the formation and signing on September 17, 1787, of the United States Constitution and recognize all who, by coming of age or by naturalization, have become citizens.
