Join us for a 160th anniversary recounting of “the Town of Smithfield’s most dramatic event.” This two-day engagement between Union and Confederate troops saw artillery and musket fire reverberating up and down Main Street eventually resulting in the destruction of the US Army Gunboat Smith Briggs.
